The program was attended by Dr. Nguyen Thanh Minh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages; Dr. Vu Thi Loan, Head of the Division of English Language, Culture and Language Teaching Methodology; Ms. Do Thi Thanh Huyen, Secretary of the Faculty Youth Union; and Ms. Mai Thi Thao, Student Affairs Assistant, together with academic advisors, lecturers of the Faculty, and a large number of K29 freshmen.

The program opened with a series of lively musical performances by students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, creating a warm and energetic atmosphere. In his opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Minh, Vice Dean of the Faculty, warmly welcomed the K29 freshmen and shared important guidance on learning, personal development, and student life during their university years. His messages of encouragement and expectations provided the new students with motivation to actively adapt to the university environment, develop effective learning strategies, and participate in academic and extracurricular activities.

During the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc and Ms. Mai Thi Thao introduced the freshmen to the history and development of Hong Duc University and the Faculty of Foreign Languages, as well as their traditions, facilities, and academic programs. Particular attention was given to practical information concerning curricula, learning outcomes, course registration, class schedules, and examination schedules. These guidelines helped the freshmen gain an initial understanding of the academic regulations and procedures they will encounter throughout their university studies.

In addition to academic matters, the program also featured an introduction to the Faculty's Youth Union activities and its student clubs, teams, and groups. Ms. Do Thi Thanh Huyen, Secretary of the Faculty Youth Union, provided information about a wide range of cultural, artistic, sporting, voluntary, and student development activities. These activities offer students opportunities to develop their abilities, enhance their soft skills, build connections, and gain valuable experiences beyond the classroom.

Through the program, K29 freshmen not only received essential information about their academic programs, learning environment, and student activities but also had opportunities to interact with lecturers, academic advisors, and fellow students. The program therefore helped ease the transition into university life, enabling the freshmen to become more familiar with their new environment, develop appropriate study plans, and set goals for their university journey.
The Welcome Program for K29 Freshmen represents one of the Faculty of Foreign Languages' important activities in supporting and accompanying students throughout their university journey. With the guidance and support of the Faculty's leadership, lecturers, academic advisors, and Youth Union, the Faculty of Foreign Languages is confident that the K29 freshmen will quickly adapt to university life, demonstrate initiative and creativity, and gradually develop their potential throughout their studies.
